Rosa Amalia Palacios, 62, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

She was born May 20, 1950, to Cesar Palacios in Olanchito Yoro, Honduras.

Her companion in Honduras was Manuel Fonseca.  He died in 1989.

She married Jose Magana in Oklahoma.  He survives.

She was had been a herdsman for Seaboard Farms.  She had worked for Peska Furs in Ord, Neb.

Other survivors include two sons, Carlos Fonseca and wife, Karen, Ord, and Joel Fonseca, Honduras; three daughters, Carmen Fonseca and husband, Marco, Tulio Rivera, Honduras, Yessenia Palacios, Honduras, Sandra Fonseca, Honduras; 15 grandchildren; and two geat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and one granddaughter, Rikci Mabel Fonseca.

o Cremation has taken place, and there will be no public services.

Burial will take place at a later date, in Honduras.
