TEXHOMA, Okla. — The top-ranked Forgan Bulldogs got off to a slow start in a tough environment at Texhoma on Friday night, but was able to pull away in the second half to post a 61-33.
Forgan ends the regular season with a 20-2 overall record and will head to Yarbrough on Friday for the district tournament.
Texhoma (9-10) trailed just 13-11 after the first period and 28-20 at the half. But Forgan went on a 21-6 run in the third period to break it open.
Rhett Radcliff and Tanner Jones led Forgan’s balanced attack with 16 points each, while Jake Regier added 10. Jacob Murphy added 14 in the paint to lead Texhoma.

The Texhoma Lady Red Devils shocked the Forgan Lady Bulldogs with an 11-1 run to open the game at Texhoma on Friday night, but Forgan (14-8) didn’t panic, clawing its way back into it with a 13-4 run in the second quarter and trailed 15-14 at the half.
The third quarter was the key, as Forgan out-scored the Lady Red 12-7, then held off a furious Texhoma rally in the fourth to win it.
Kenzie Taylor led Forgan with 16 points and Ann E. Freeman led Texhoma with eight.
