Local track athletes competed Saturday for a chance to qualify for the Hershey State track meet in Hutchinson later this summer.

Athletes from around the region, and even the far corners of Kansas, competed in the open format meet in traditional running, jumping and throwing events.

The meet was open to both boys and girls, and several local athletes qualified to attend the state teem.

The results were:
