Gretchen Good Pankratz, 76, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, after a short illness.

She was born on June 21, 1937  to Dr. Earl Hey Good and Hortense Heaton Good in Liberal.

She graduated from Liberal High School, Cottey College, Nevada, Missouri, and the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

She practiced as a medical technician.

She served in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Liberal, St. Thomas' in Garden City and St. Paul's in Goodland.

She worked with AIDS patients through WEKARE (Western Kansas AIDS Resource and Education) and people who are deaf.

Survivors include two daughters, Allison (Pritts), her husband Marvin, and two grandchildren Alyssa and Kevin, in Trumansburg, N.Y. and Katrina (Haines), her husband Terry, and grandson Lance, in Charlotte, Michigan;  son, Andrew Pankratz in Okemos, Mich.; brother Gary and his wife Patricia, in Naples, Fla.; former husband Stuart Pankratz, in Lansing, Mich.; niece, Julie Pittman Toon; nephew Jim Pittman; brother-in-law Ed Pittman; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Greg Pankratz; and sister, Gloria Good Pittman.

• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Liberal.

Burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery.
