Gregoria “Gloria” Juarez Chapa, 85, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

She was born April 18, 1927, to Agruelio and Catalina Navaro Juarez in Martindale, Texas.

She married Alfredo Chapa July 4, 1954, in Martindale. He died May 24, 1996.

Survivors include two sons, Fernando Chapa and Lora, Liberal, and Gus Chapa and wife, Bonnie, Liberal;  three daughters, Judy Rine Barringer and husband, Don, Liberal, Yolanda Bandt and husband, David Luebbers, Liberal,  and Virginia Tucker, Liberal; two brothers, Richard Martinez and wife, Trini, Martindale, and Robert Martinez and wife, Pauline, Austin, Texas; two sisters, Mary Alice Mata and husband, Abraham, Lockhart, Texas, and Isabella Avalos and husband, Tacho, Martindale; 22 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceeded in death by her parents, one son, Eduardo “Eddie” Chapa, two brothers, Lupe Juarez and Tony Martinez, and one grandson, Christopher Rine.

o Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Hector De La Vega presiding.

Burial will be at the Liberal Cemetery.

Friends may call until 6 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Mortuary.
