DERBY – Cole, Arthur Thomas Jr., 66, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009.
He was a retired Derby High School drafting and driver’s education teacher.
Survivors include his mother, Luella Cole, Newton; his wife, Sharon, Decatur, Ill.; son, Eric (Debra) Cole, Wichita; stepsons, Stephen (Libby) Hayes, Cerro Gordo, Ill., Matthew (Laura) Hayes, Madison, Wis., David (Meaghan) Hayes, Pewaukee, Wis.; one brother, David (Ginger) Cole, Olathe; four sisters, Pat (Phil) DeVoss, Wichita, Karen (Larry) Malcolm, Haysville, Susan (Steve) Clanton, Minneapolis, Kan., and Kathy Finlay, Overland Park; five grandchildren, Mackenzie, Joshua, Jacob, Hannah and Audrey; father and mother-in-law, Alvin and Iona Packard, Plains; father-in-law, John Purviance, Macon, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Terry Faye, and his father, Arthur Sr.
o Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday with family receiving friends from 9 a.m. to service time at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 431 S. Woodlawn, Derby.
Graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the Plains Cemetery.
