BRIAN D. FORWARD
Brian D. Forward, 29, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at his home.
He was born Aug.. 26, 1980, in Liberal.
He grew up in Liberal and graduated from Liberal High School in 2000.
He was a veteran of the Iraqi War, serving two tours as Sargent in the U.S. Marine Corps. Being discharged, he returned to Liberal.
He worked for Tri-State Casing Co., and for the past two years he worked in the maintenance department at National Beef Packing.
He loved being with his family, spending time at the beach and was the happiest in North Carolina.
Survivors include one sister, Tiffany Michelle O’Brien, Souix Falls, S.D.; his grandparents, Dale and Donna Stromquist, Liberal; one special uncle, Eric Stromquist and wife, Buffy, Liberal; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Forward.
o Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, at the Miller Chapel with the Rev. Rex Petty presiding.
Military honors will be presented by the American Legion, Sgt. Lawrence Wimmer, Post No. 80.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Miller Mortuary.
