Turpin, Okla. – Mary Lou Carrington, 79,  died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at Liberal Good Samaritan Center in Liberal.
She was born Oct. 26, 1929, to Richard and Ella Mohler Vanderpool in Meade County.
She attended Greenough School in rural Forgan, Okla., and later Amarillo Business School.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Henderson, Texas, and active in the Republican Party.
She is survived by one son, Dick Robinson and wife, Micki, Turpin, Okla.; one brother, J. W. Vanderpool and wife, Paulette, Meade; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
o Graveside and burial will be at 6  p.m. Tuesday at the Pioneer Cemetery in Beaver, Okla., with Bob Deacon presiding.
