ELMA I. GEDDES
MEADE – Elma I. “Reny” Geddes, 78, died Monday, June 29, 2009, at Meade District Hospital.
She was born May 11, 1931, to Elmer and Iris (Roles) Adams in Bates City, Mo.
She married O.M. Geddes Jan. 19, 1949, in Lexington, Mo. She survives.
She attended the Bates City school system.
She was a homemaker, volunteered with the Meade County EMS and had worked as a cook at the Meade District Hospital.
She attended the First Baptist Church.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.
She is also survived by two sons, Orville Geddes Jr. and wife, Kim, Meade, and Roy Wade Geddes, Meade; three sisters, Betty Davis, Odessa, Mo., JoAnn Shepherd, Odessa, and Joy Tye, Odessa; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James Fred and E.C. Geddes; and three brothers, Howard, Nelson and Jessie Adams.
o Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home in Odessa.
Burial will follow at the Odessa Cemetery.
