Johnny Lee “John” Davidson, 62, died Friday, July 17, 2009, at Southwest Medical Center. 

He was born May 19, 1947, to William L. and Mary (Grisham) Davidson in Oklahoma City. 

He married Margaret Brewer June 29, 1985. She survives. 

In 1958, he attended school in Liberal. He graduated from Turpin, Okla. in 1964.

He joined the Air Force where he served his country for 22 years. He was a staff sergeant serving as special security and trained MPs and also served as an MP. He was in Vietnam, Puerto Rico and England. He then worked for Dillons. 

He was a member of Heritage Christian and also attended First Assembly of God church.  

He is also survived by his father; one daughter, Isabella Davidson, Liberal; one brother, Jim Davidson and wife, Patricia, Fritch, Texas; one sister, Debbie Schmitzer and husband, Randy, Turpin, Okla.; and many nephews and nieces. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Davidson, Pauline Davidson, Homer Grisham and Villa Grisham; his mother; and one brother, Joe Davidson.  

o Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God with the Rev. James Crandall presiding. 

Military Honors by the McConnell Air Force Honor Guard. 

Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. today with the family present to receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the John Davidson Memorial Fund in care of Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. Second, Liberal, KS 67901.
