Long ago, the Mid-America Air Museum began its life of service to the community by hosting a series of traveling exhibits produced by NASA at Johnson Space Center, Houston. After a 20-year absence, NASA traveling exhibits have returned to Liberal.

The return of these beautiful exhibits coincides perfectly with both the spring school tour season and the May 2012 Kansas Sampler Festival. This type of activity is important to the museum certainly, as it furthers its mission of service to the community. Museum staff often hears from area citizens who appreciate special things to enjoy with their families. There is no more exciting, truly American story than NASA’s.

The exhibits are now on display and available for those taking a tour of MAAM and are a part of a special Year of NASA in Liberal.

The six NASA exhibits include:

1. Manned Space Flight Exhibit

2. Special Effects from Space Photo Exhibit
