HUGOTON – Gene R. Dill, 78, died Monday, June 15, 2009, at his home in Hugoton. 

He was born Aug. 31, 1930, to David Paul and Zettie C. Dill in Elmoro City, Okla. 

He married Blaino Pennington July 4, 1953, in Larned. She survives. 

He worked for Holly Sugar in California then went to work for Halliburton until 1971. He then started his own business, Dillco Fluid Service, which he owned and operated until Dec. 2007.

He is also survived by one son, Russell Dill, Hugoton; one daughter, Cynthia Dill, Hugoton; two sisters, Lavora Jo Maples, Houston, and Sue Carroll, Houston; one grandson, Ry Dill, Hugoton; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Richard Dill; and two brothers, David Dill and Jerry Dill. 

o Cremation has taken place. 

Private services will be at a later date. 

Memorials are suggested to the St. Cathorine’s Home Health and Hospice in care of Pauls Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
