Kalie Hoover scored 20, and Jacinda Balderrama added 19 as ten Lady Dusters scored to help Beaver defeat the Fargo Lady Bearcats 61-49 Friday at the Buffalo Invitational.

Beaver built a big lead in the first quarter, jumping ahead 23-10. Both teams slowed down offensively in the second quarter, scoring only a combined 13 points. Beaver still led by 12 at the break, 29-17.

Beaver was about to push the lead to 18 by outscoring Fargo 18-12 in the third, and converted enough plays in the fourth to win.

Beaver played Fort Supply, who defeated Gage 55-36, Saturday afternoon for the consolation trophy.
