Boys

Hooker 95, Hardesty 14

A major mismatch in the first round the Bulldogs. Hooker led 34-6 after the first quarter, and 65-9 at half. Twelve Bulldogs scored with Joe Bean leading the way with 17. Payson Slater added 16, and Devon Romero and Cody Ansley each scored 10. Hooker will face Balko today at 4 p.m.

Balko 49, Turpin 42

The Balko Bison came from behind, outscoring Turpin 17-7 in the fourth quarter, to advance at the Texhoma Tournament. Turpin led 26-22 at halftime, and 35-32 heading into the fourth quarter. Ty Casper led the way for the Bison with 20, and Justin Mays added 10. Turpin’s Francisco Regelado scored 19, and Tyler Rader added 7.

Turpin will face Hardesty today at 11 a.m.

Goodwell 55, Tyrone 54

After leading for almost the entire first three quarter the Tyrone Bobcats saw a 10-point lead slip away in the fourth quarter. A 19-12 third quarter had pushed the Bobcats 27-14 halftime lead to 46-36. But Goodwell outscored Tyrone 19-8 in the final stanza to win. Bryce Potter scored 21 for the Bobcats, and Austin Olivas added 14. Tyrone will face Boise City today at 2:45.

Girls

Hooker 74, Goodwell 37

The Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a 21-4 first quarter, and easily advanced to the Texhoma Tournament semifinals. Hooker led 41-16 at the half and 61-26 after three. Shania Miller led the Lady Bulldogs with 19 points, Kyra Cathcart 14, and Marian Cervantes added 11. Hooker will face Balko, who defeated Hardesty 60-22, at 4 p.m.

Boise City 42, Turpin 18

The Boise City Lady Wildcats outscored the Turpin Lady Cardinals 31-10 in the second and third quarter to pull away. The game started slow with neither team able to do much offensively as Boise City took a slim 5-2 lead. Raegan Alvarez and Alyssa Kinser each scored 5 to lead the Lady Cardinals. Turpin will face Tyrone today at 1:30

Texhoma 73, Tyrone 14
The Texhoma Lady Red Devils took command from the opening tip and led 28-5 after just one quarter of play. By halftime the lead over the Lady Bobcats had been pushed to 41. Tyrone was held to just three points in the second half. Tori Dumler was the Lady Bobcats leading scorer with six. Tyrone will face Turpin at 1:30 today.
