The Tyrone Bobcats improved their record to 10-3 with a 57-26 win over a short-handed Keyes Pirates team Tuesday night.

“It didn’t make for a very competitive game, but we worked on some things we needed to work on,” Bobcats coach Clay Witt.

Tyrone dominated both ends of the floor and held a commanding 38-6 lead at the half.

“Our defense was very good., any time you hold someone to just six point in a half you have to be happy,” Witt said. “We were able to work on some offenses that needed some work, as well as improving our defensive rebounding. It was a tough situation but we made the best of it.”

Ethan Reece led the Bobcats with 14 points, Austin Olivas scored 11, and Travis Shield added 8.

Tyrone’s next opponent will be a familiar one as they face county rival Goodwell Thursday at 5:15 p.m. in the first round of the Texhoma Tournament.
