The Hooker Lady Bulldogs were much like a locomotive Tuesday night at Rolla. It took them a few minutes to get to full speed, but once they got going, they were tough to stop, winning 52-17.

We got off to a really slow start, but finally caught fire and it snowballed on them," Lady Bulldogs Coach Ray Kennedy said. "They played hard. It's good to have one of those games where you can get everyone in every once in a while."

After four minutes of play the score was just 1-0. But then the Lady Bulldogs caught fire, and led 16-2. The second quarter was more of the same with Hooker outscoring Rolla 17-6 to take a commanding, 33-8 lead into the locker room.

Hooker built a 34-point lead by the end of the third at, 47-13, and played mainly reserves in the fourth.

Kyra Cathcart led seven different scorers for Hooker with 19, including 12 in the second quarter alone. Mariana Cervantes scored 8, as did Brittney Bergner who hit two threes in the first half.

Hooker is now 10-4 this season and will host Laverne this Friday.
