The Southwestern Heights Lady Mustangs stayed undefeated with a 45-39 win over rival Meade Tuesday night.
The Lady Mustangs used a balanced attack that saw seven different players score, and noe totaling more than 13.
Heights built a 14-8 lead in the first quarter, thanks in part to Chloe Coats who scored all of her eight points in the first quarter. Heights added two more to their lead before halftime at 26-18.
The Lady Buffaloes got back those two in the third, but still trailed the Lady Mustangs 36-30 heading to the fourth. Each team scored nine in the final as Heights held on for the win.
Heights was able to get to the free throw line for 23 attempts and made 14 (61 percent), while Meade made just 9 of their 18.
Rachel Stout led the Lady Mustangs in scoring with 13, Rebi Jacobs hit two threes in totaling 9 points, and Whitney Garinger scored 8.
Heights in now 8-0 and will travel to Sublette this Friday.
