Woodward, Okla. — Former President George W. Bush will speak at Let Freedom Ring 2009, on July 4. The two-day event in Woodward begins July 3 and will also feature performances by Tanya Tucker, Sawyer Brown, Stoney LaRue, Mike McClure, Marty Stuart, Asleep At The Wheel and Bo Phillips.
“On Independence Day, Americans are grateful for the blessings that freedom represents and for the opportunities it affords,” said President Bush. “I look forward to visiting Woodward this Fourth of July and am honored to be part of this celebration.”
In conjunction with Let Freedom Ring 2009, the City of Woodward will be celebrating with the grand re-opening of Crystal Beach Park following a $25 million renovation project.
City sponsored festivities will include the grand opening of the new Crystal Beach Water Park on the 4th, a pancake breakfast, a 5K run, an impressive line-up of fireworks and many family-friendly activities throughout the day on the 4th.
Let Freedom Ring 2009, invokes the concept of celebrating Independence Day in grand style.

In addition to entertainment and festivities, Let Freedom Ring 2009, seeks to be a recurring event showcasing American pride and the enduring pioneer spirit that still exists in Oklahoma today.
This production is a collaboration of Landon Laubhan Productions,
K-101 Radio, and the Woodward Tourism and Convention Bureau, and is designed to promote and enhance opportunities for Northwest Oklahoma, benefit local organizations, and unite the region in this grand celebration of America’s independence.
