After much debate, Liberal school officials are looking into renovating the high school’s football stadium.

Monday, USD No. 480 Board of Education members asked auxiliary services director Alan Haskell to look into getting bids to renovate Redskin Field.

Among the items to be renovated would be the stadium’s bleachers, putting in a new track and adding artificial turf to the field.

Haskell was also asked to get bids on possible trailers to add to Liberal High School to create more classroom space.

Leaks on some of the district’s buildings were also a concern, and board members asked Haskell to get bids on the cost of re-roofing some of the facilities.

The items were part of a non-action matter on the agenda. Decisions will not be heard on the issues until the board’s next meeting on April 27.
