Prior to officially becoming a Seward County cheerleader this fall, freshman Kaela Krueger was named to one of the most prestigious positions in the sport.
Krueger was selected from thousands as a National Cheerleader’s Association instructor. NCA is the largest and most distinguished cheerleading camp in the U.S. and only the best of the best are selected to be on staff.
At the conclusion of the summer, she was chosen as one of the Top Rookie Instructors for cheerleading. In winning the award, Krueger was one of just two instructors from Kansas to do so.
She has been attending NCA camps since junior high. As a seventh and eighth grader at South Middle School, she was chosen for the All-American Team at the University of Oklahoma. She was a UCA All-Star for all four years at Liberal High School.
She also made staff for UCA, but chose to work for NCA since rules do not allow instructors to work for both companies.
Krueger will be cheering for the Saints during basketball season.
