The story at the Green House could have been much different if Ashlyn Westerman’s serve during a tight fifth game would have results in a Hutchinson point. The Lady Blue Dragons would have won.

Instead, the Lady Saints scored the point and eventually won  17-15.

Still, Westerman had been “counting the days” for her return home and to face the Lady Saints.

“It was good to come back and have the crowd support me,” she said. “We can’t wait to have the at our house.”

While Hutchinson has struggled to a 6-11 season, Westerman was still happy with her school choice.

“I made the right decision 150 percent,” she said. :I love it in Hutch. I’m proud to wear their colors.”
