The Liberal Bee Jays dropped from Jayhawk title contention last night after falling 2-1 to El Dorado. The Bee Jays attempt to take the series in El Dorado along with a shot at least a share of a title were swept away.

One league game remains for Liberal as they now can set their sights on preparing for the NBC World Series.

Jared Moore was big for Liberal in El Dorado, allowing only one hit through eight innings. Liberal was unable to take advantage of opportunities. The Bee Jays had six hits and had chances late, stranding seven runners in the last half of the contest.

Micah Green had the lone Bee Jay RBI scoring Toby Semler on a sacrifice fly in the ninth.

Liberal will get a look at some NBC tourney competition hosting the NBC bound Colorado All-Stars tonight and Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Brent Gould Field.

The Bee Jays are 28-16 overall and 18-15 in the Jayhawk. Only two teams can win the Jayhawk League. Haysville is in the driver’s seat and with a win or a Hays loss will claim the title.
