Rattler 13s earn trip to state tourney PDF Print E-mail

The Liberal 13-year-olds punched their ticket to the state tourney with a 13-11 win over SPIAA in the District 1 Champioinship Game in Spearville. The Rattlers   defeated Southwest 19-9 in their opening match-up before putting it on SPIAA 23-8 in the second round to move to the finals. Jared Hasik, Steve Lira, and Angel Archuleta put in MVP performances in the three games.  Archuleta, Hasik, and Tim Fitzgerald were WOW Award recipients. The Rattlers move on to the state tournament in Garden City. The LIberal 14s also won district and will be in the state tournament in Garden City. Courtesy photo
