The Cimarron Rattler 9-year-olds participated in the Pratt Grand Slam Tournament and earned a 2-2 finish against older competition.

The Rattler 9s lost to Barton’s 10-year-old team 4-1 but rallied to knock off Larned’s 10-year-olds 10-5.

Braxton Hyde pitched a complete game for the Rattler win.

The Rattlers knocked off the Goddard 10-year-olds 6-4 with Brody Sumner earnignt he win on the mound.

But the Rattlers could not get past Barton and lost the rematch 10-2.

“The team continues to get better each game against older competition,” coach Brnadon Hyde said. “Hopefully we will hit our top performance in a couple of weeks when we start District.”
The Rattler 9s will take the week off and will play in Haysville July 2-3.
