The 2011 Miss Kansas Pageant final competition is slated for Saturday, June 11, in Pratt. Miss Liberal Kaela Krueger will be competing in the pageant.
Krueger will be performing her talent competition during preliminaries on Thurdsday evening and her swim wear and evening gown segments Friday night.
This year, 24 young women will compete for the title of Miss Kansas and the opportunity to represent the state in the 2012 Miss America competition. The Miss America Organization is one of the nation’s leading providers of scholarships to young women. As the official state franchise, The Miss Kansas Organization makes available more than $2.5 million dollars annually in cash and in-kind scholarships.
Local preliminary pageants are conducted throughout Kansas. Miss Kansas Pageant preliminaries are scheduled for June 9 and 10 in the Pratt Community College Arena, with final competition and the crowning of Miss Kansas 2011 scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday, June 11.
