Liberal’s own Taryn Westerman has went on from Seward County Community College following her Lady Redskin days, as part of one of  probably the most successful team in Lady Redskin history, she transferred to Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Tx last August.
In her first season with the squad  they went 15-14 and made it to the post season regional tournament.
Westerman was the LSC Setter of the Week twice. Her season was cut short when a concussion kept her out of the final two weeks of the season.
This upcoming fall is her last season.
Westerman has performed off the court as well, academically in her first year  at Midwestern State University she was on the Provost's Honor Roll.
Westerman is majoring is Exercise Physiology, and expects to be done with that in December of 2012.
After she finishes she plans on going into a Radiology program where she would like to specialize as an ultrasound technician.
