West Middle School’s Mershek Wiltshire (right) competes in the triple jump Saturday at Redskin Field. Wiltshire placed third in the event. Below, a South Middle Schooler competes in the shot put. The West 7th grade girls won the meet with the following results: High jump;  Jordan Urban 2nd; 4x800:  Jessica Cisneros, Katherine Covert, Sidney Shiflet, and Sarah Arriaga 2nd; Shot Put:  Megan Larkin 1st, Stephanie Garcia 3rd; Discus:  Megan Larkin 1st, Stephanie Garcia 2nd; 100 meter dash; Jordan Urban 3rd; Triple Jump:  Jordan Apsley 3rd; 4X100:  Jordan Shiflet, Katherine Covert, Sidney Shiflet, and Brittany Granger 2nd; 400 dash:  Brittany Granger, 1st; 200 dash:  Brittany Granger 2nd; 4X400: Jessica Cisneros, Sidney Shiflet, Katherine Covert, and Sarah Arriaga 3rd. The West 8th grade girls placed fourth overall and the 7th grade boys were third. Track teams from both schools will compete in Guymon, Okla. on Saturday at Carl & Lou McKinnon Field at Memorial Stadium. L&T photos/Shawn Yorks
