Several business owners, city commissioners and leading Liberal dignataries visited Senator Pat Roberts office Monday in Washington D.C. “It was a busy afternoon in my office today. Quite a few Western Kansas county and city officials came in for a visit. It was great catching up with all of them and hearing about their concerns and issues facing their respective communities. Thank you Garden City and Finney County, Hays, Great Bend, Dodge City, Liberal and Kiowa County for coming to Washington, D.C.,” Senator Roberts said. “It was a busy day for these folks as they travelled around Capitol Hill. The day started with a Western Kansas briefing from my staff on issues ranging from agriculture and energy, to the budget and health care. We also discussed transportation and veteran’s affairs issues, as well as housing challenges and the economy. It was good to see these folks, all partners in good government, and I look forward to visiting with them again back in the state.” Courtesy photo
