Balko Bison needed a fourth quarter comeback and a stellar night by Brett  Franz, to get to overtime to win the third place matchup over the Goodwell Eagles 51-49.

This hard fought contest started out even with the two teams tied at the end of the first quarter 11-11.

Goodwell outscored Balko in the second 12-7 to take a 23-18 lead at halftime.

Goodwell increased their lead in the third by one and headed to the fourth quarter leading 34-28.

But the Bison played their best defense of the night in the fourth quarter, holding the Eagles to 5 points, and scoring 11 to tie the game at the end of regulation at 39.

Balko was able to outscore Goodwell 12-10 in the fourth period to win 51-49.

Brett Franz led the way for the Bison with 29 and Kolby Stephens added 13.

Balko evened their record at 8-8 with the win.
