ARNETT, Okla. — Rhett Radcliff scored 35 points and his brother Ryan added 12 as the Forgan Bulldogs faced their stiffest challenge since the Tournament of Champions last December, downing Arnett 63-60 Thursday in the first round of the Class B regional tournament in Arnett.
The Bulldogs (22-2) advance to Saturday’s regional championship against the surprising Tyrone Bobcats, 72-51 winners of Goodwell on Thursday.
The game will take place at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Oscar Williams Fieldhouse on the campus of Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell.
Matt Morris scored six points, Jake Regier five, Tyler McReynolds and Tanner Jones two each for Forgan.
• In the girls’ game, Kenzi Taylor hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Lady Bulldogs to a 38-35 win over Leedey.
Forgan takes on Balko at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at OPSU for the regional championship.
Taylor led Forgan with 15 points, Samantha Leisher added 11, Lindsay Trippet six, Gabby Martinez four and Kaci Hall two.
