LIBERAL — The Liberal High School bowling team had a disappointing end to the home bowling season on Tuesday afternoon at Ayr Lanes as both the boys and girls teams were swept by Great Bend.
But there was bright spot on senior recognition day as senior Dakin Baier led the junior varsity boys to a win, bowling an average of 247.
The LHS varsity boys fell 2772-2483 as Jeff Minor (597), Adrian Amado (594) and Jared Hall (593) led the Liberal charge. Dylan Sandell bowled 577, Hunter Sandell 586 and Hunter Rinehart 496.
Kylie Jennings bowled a 563 to pace the Lady Redskins in a 2310-2228 loss. Katie Jennings bowled 560, Jessica Fowler and Erica Fowler each bowled 520, Kimberly Vanly 509 and Madison Butler 485.
The JV boys won 2279-2136, lef by Baier’s 742 series which included a 258 in game two. Lucas Poulton bowled 614, Matt McLane 472, Alex Merklin 449,  Joe Cotto 404 and Jesse Delgado 326.
Summer Stimpson and Rachell Denoyer were the only two Lady Redskins to bowl for the JV squad. Stimpson bowled a 373 series and Denoyer 178.
