Seward may have dominated Colby Saturday night at the Greenhouse, but
the blowout victory may be costly for the Lady Saints.
Nadia Rosario suffered an injury to her knee in the first half and
returned to the Lady Saints bench on crutches in the second half.
“At this point she is out,” Seward coach Toby Wynn said earlier
today. “We don’t know the extent of the injury right now. She won’t
play on Wednesday.”
LaNell Taylor will also miss Wednesday’s game against Pratt after
injuring her shooting hand and wrist.
Taylor was fouled hard underneath the goal in the first half, but she
continued to play. Taylor hit a three-pointer in the second half with
the injury. But swelling forced her out of Wednesday’s line-up.
“This is where you hope you have a good bench to step in and step
up,” Wynn said.
Pratt played Cloud Saturday to a 16-point contest. Cloud is currently
tied with Seward for the conference lead.
Taylor is expected to be back for Saturday’s match-up, but Rosario
will likely miss the next two weeks according to Wynn.
