The Tyrone Bobcat boys contnued to roll right along on Friday night, picking up a 48-28 win over Hardesty, Okla. on the road.
The win gives the Bobcats a 10-1 record.
“They kept us way below average on scoring,” coach Clay Witt said. “It was a 3-point game at halftime and we had a real good third quarter that helped us get pulled away from them finally.”
Tyrone was cold from the floor, going 2-for-13 from 3-point land.
“I give a lot of credit to their defense,” Witt said. “Two-for-13 will get you beat a lot of nights.”
Tyrone was 9-for-16 from the charity stripe.
Leading scorer was Austin Olivas with 18, right of those in the third quarter.
“Most of his were on fast-breaks,” Witt said.
Tyler Lai scored 10.
“He has just been super solid for us this year,” Witt said.
Jacob Williams scored 7 and added 9 rebounds, which is a little below average.
“They concentrated on taking him out of the game and they did a pretty good job of it,” Witt said. “They made us shoot from the outside alot.”
