Two more people have filed for positions in the upcoming April 5 election, according to the Seward County Clerk’s office.
Marvin D. Chance Jr. for has filed for a seat on the Seward County Community College/Area Technical School Board of Trustees.
Dusty Turner has filed to run for a position on the USD No. 483 School Board in Kismet as an at-large member.
The clerk’s office also filed this notice Monday:
Seward County College has three at-large positions on the board of trustees open for election.
Unified School District No. 480 in Liberal has four at-large member positions open for election.
Unified School District No. 483 in Kismet has three board members in District No. 1 open and one at-large position open.
The filing deadline for these positions is noon Jan. 25. Anyone wishing to file for a position may do so at the Seward County Clerk’s office at 515 N. Washington Ave., Suite 100 in Liberal.
The date for the primary election, if conducted, will be March 1. The general election is scheduled for April 5.
