TOYS DONATED TO LAW ENFORCEMENT Seward County Deputy Gene Ward, left
and Liberal police officer Jon Antrim, receive stuffed animals from
Dorothy (Giovanna Baca) to go toward law enforcement’s Stuffed Toy
for Kids program. “Our Dorothy’s have purchased the stuffed animals
to be distributed to children in our community. We gave those
stuffies to law enforcement here,” said Seward County Historical
Society Executive Director JoAnne Mansell. “We gave some of them to
Seward County Sheriff’s Department and some to the Liberal Police
Department. I think it speaks volumes of how Liberal residents are.
Even as young as teens, they care about our community and what is
going on in it.” The toys are given to children who have suffered
distress, whether from an incident at home or in a vehicle accident.
