Brittany Granger and Megan Larkin scored 10 points each as the West Lady Warriors overcame a 12-all halftime tie to down South 32-20 in 7th grade A-team action Monday evening at West Middle School.
West scored 10 points in each quarter except the second, when South went on a big run to tie it.
Jessica Cisneros scored six points for the Lady Warriors.

The West 7th grade B-team opened the second half with a 12-0 run to take a 31-9 lead and cruised to a 35-18 win over South on Monday night.
Essence Goodrum scored eight of those points in the third quarter run and Sidney Shiflet and Sarah Arriaga added the others.
South played West evenly in the fourth quarter, but the damage had already been done.
Goodrum scored 13 points for West, Arriaga and Shiflet six each, Zarya King and Morgan Weaver four each. Karina Gomez and Valeria Ortiz scored eight each for South and Liliana Martinez two.

South overcame a 4-0 first quarter deficit to take an 8-6 halftime lead, but West shut the Apaches out in the second half to post the 14-8 win.
Valeria Ortiz, Abigail Rodriguez and Angelica Rodriguez led the way for South in the second quarter.
Katherine Covert and Haybi Zalaya scored West’s first quarter baskets, while Kayla Tran, Covert, Camille Peterson, Vangie Padilla and Zelaya scored for West in the second half.
