Guadalupe “Lupe” Avitia Mizcles, 73, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at her residence in Seward County.
She was born May 16, 1937, to Jesus and Candelaria (Mixcles) Avitia in Mexico.
She married Herminio Torres Jan. 31, 1967, in Chihuahua, Mexico. He died April 12, 1988.
Survivors include one son, Osvaldo Rodriguez and wife, Maloly, Johnson; two daughters, Rebeca Alvarado and husband, Samuel, Liberal; and Zelma Lopez and husband, Salvador, Liberal; one brother, Hermilo Avitia and wife, Cora, Johnson; three sisters, Chu Ruiz and husband, Norberto, Denton, Texas, Ramona Torres and husband, Enrique, Newton and Carmelina Ruiz and husband, Reyes, Denton; six grandchildren, Ivan and Elvin Rodriguez, Jorge Luisa and Amay Alvarado and Izabel A. and Erik Elian Lopez .
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
o Vigil and rosary services will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at the Liberal Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon until 5 p.m. Monday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade and from 5:30 p.m. until service time at the church.
