Southwestern Heights just finished a preseason basketball tournament. The tournament took place after four weeks of basketball.  

The high school basketball teams put on two weekends of clinics, followed by three weekends of basketball games for thirf through sixth grade boys and girls. High school players refereed and junior high players ran the scoreboard and scorebook.  

It was a Mustang basketball team effort.  

Thrd and fourth graders finished for the year to cut down on travel, but the fifth and sixth grade will still play into February with the rec league basketball.  

The boys championship team included Daymian Olivas, Coach Darren Cox, Kyler Cox, Aaron Cox, Sebastian Alvarado, Edwin Puentes, Kaniel Cruz

The girls championship team included  coach Ariceli Alvarado, Cynthia Garcia, Selina Nava, Alize Mendez, AJ Jacobo and Yasmin Garcia.
