ULYSSES – Jeff Garrett, 51, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.
He was born Jan. 3, 1959, to Raymond Garrett and Jane (Jones) Montanari in Rocky Ford, Colo.
He married Teresa (Sims) Mader May 3, 1985, in Ulysses. She survives.
He was a pump truck operator for 21 years at Chaosland Services.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and demolition derbies.
Other survivors include one son, Scott Garrett and wife, Misty, Shidler, Okla.; one stepson, Mark Mader, Tonkawa, Okla.; step-mother, LaVaya Garrett, Swink, Colo.; two brothers, Randy Garrett and wife, Mary Lee, Cheraw, Colo., Tim Garrett and wife, Donna, Thatcher, Colo.; two sisters, Deanna Cornelius, Lamar, Colo., and Nancy Hyson and husband, Wayne, Elkton, Md.; three grandchildren, Kinzie Garrett, R.J. Mader of the home and Trevor Garrett; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jason Ray Garrett, and one sister, Dianna Garrett Donelson.
o Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses with the Rev. Bill Harrold presiding.
Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
