The Tyrone Bobcats racked up 444 yards of offense on just 26 plays, and scored touchdowns on their first eight possessions to take a 56-0 lead with four minutes still to play in the half.  Tyrone went on to win over Boise City by mercy rule, 56-8 to move to 7-0.

Tyrone’s first two touchdowns came from Antonio Pacheco, who missed last week’s game, but returned with a fervor. Pacheco ran in from 32 yards out and then 11 yards as Tyrone took a 16-0 lead with 4:01 left in the first quarter. Jonathan Corrales scored on a 58-yard run and with Chance Duty converting the 2-point conversion, Tyrone took a 24-0 lead into the second quarter.

Corrales scored twice in the second quarter with TD runs of 18 yards and 61. Corrales finished with 171 and three TDs on just 6 carries, averaging 28.5 yards per carry.

Matthew Clancy scored on a 9-yard run and Alex Landaverde scored on a 14-yard run.

But it was not just offense that shined for the Bobcats. The Tyrone defense forced five turnovers and held Boise City to just 3.2 yards per play. Tyrone allowed just two pass completions while intercepting three of the Wildcats’ throws.

Antonio Pacheco finished the game with 109 yards rushing, two TDs, two conversions, and averaged 21.8 yards per carry. Chance Duty, filling in at quarterback for the second straight game ran four times for 98 yards and a pair of conversions.

Tyrone (7-0, 5-0) will face stiffer competition the next two weeks as they face off against a pair of ranked opponents in games that will decide the district championship. First, Tyrone will face Kremlin-Hillsdale (6-2,3-2) Friday night, then (7-1, 4-1) Timberlake the following Friday.
