PLAINS – Dorothy L. Roberts, 83, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at her Liberal residence.
She was born April 16, 1927, to of Edward “E.A.” and Hilda Steiner Eisenbart at rural Yates Center.
She married Max Roberts Feb. 29, 1948, in Wichita. He died April 13, 1985.
She attended a rural country school in Fowler, graduating from Fowler High School in 1945.
She assisted her husband as a clerk for their auctioneer business.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Liberal.
She was a volunteer for the Meade County EMS serving as an EMT. She was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary.
She enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by one son, Richard Roberts, rural Plains; four daughters, Vicki McDowell, rural Fowler, Kathy Boyd, Meade, Richelle Axtell, Meade, and Connie Hart, Lenexa; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Maxine Golliher.
o Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church, Plains, with the Rev. Steve Morgan presiding.
Burial will be at the Plains Cemetery.
Friends may call until 7 p.m. today at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
