MONTEZUMA – Zachariah E. “Zach” Hammond, 21, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, in Montezuma as the result of an automobile accident. 

He was born Aug. 19, 1996 to Jim and Michelle (Kellner) Hammond in Sonora, Calif.

He attended school in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He later attended the Homeland School in Montezuma.  

He worked for Gray County Disposal for several years. 

He was a member of the Cimarron Mennonite Church in Cimarron.

Survivors include his mother; brother, Josh Kellner, Bonners Ferry, Idaho; three sisters: Rebecca Koehn, Meade, Rachel Koehn, Montezuma, and Caitlyn Koehn, Galva; and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by brother, James Kellner.

• Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at the Plains View Mennonite Church in Plains.  

Burial will follow at the Plains View Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Friends may call from 12 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade.  

Memorials are suggested to the CSI Children’s Fund in care of the funeral home.
