Rattlers get wins in Hooker PDF Print E-mail

The Liberal Rattler 18s and 13s both faced Hooker Thursday and came away with wins.

altThe Rattler 18s swept a double header in Hooker, 10-0 and 16-3.

Kaleb Wilmes pitched a six-inning shutout win, only allowing three hits and no walks while striking out 10 in a 10-0 win.

Cesar Burciaga had three hits and an RBI in the win.

Pancho Terrazas and Brodie Warren each had two RBIs, and Alex Yanez had a double.

Yanez also took the mound in Game 2 and allowed three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out five in a game that only went three innings, and the Rattlers won 16-3.

Hooker struggled on the mound, walking 11 Rattlers in three innings and allowing nine hits.Elijah McCarter had four RBIs in the win with two doubles, and Terrazas added two RBIs.

While Liberal’s senior team was knocking off Hooker, the 13s also score a pair of wins over the Horny Toads, 20-3 and 9-5.

Huskey pitched for the win in the opener, and Solis pitched the victory in the nightcap with a save by Stephenson.
