The Southwest Aquatics Swim Club is accepting sign-ups.

Those interested in joining the club need to be at the Seward County Community College/Area Technical School pool form 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 12.

To participate, swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool (25 meters) without assistance, All fall practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Parents must attend a mandatory meeting Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. at the upstairs lobby next to the pool in the Student Union.

New swimmers will need to pay a $160 fee which includes the cost of coaching, pool rental, team swim suit, team swim cap, a T-shirt and USA and WKSC registration fee for 2010-2011. For existing swimmers, a fee of $115 will be required.

There is also a two-week trial period to see if the swimmer will enjoy the club.

Two meets are scheduled for the fall.
