It is an organization known for assisting people with disabilities, and this Friday, one person with one ticket could not only help those people but also win a cart full of groceries.
Liberal’s Mosaic is hosting its very first fundraiser, and community relations manager Amanda Stout said the winner of Supermarket Madness will get five minutes in Dillon’s with one grocery cart to fill it up with merchandise.
Stout said five consolation prizes will likewise be awarded for $100 gift certificates from Dillon’s.
“The drawing will be Oct. 1,” she said. “The winner gets to choose which Saturday they want to shop.”
Tickets for Supermarket Madness are $20 for a single ticket, $50 for three or $100 for six and are available at the Mosaic office at 441 N. Industrial Ave. in Liberal or by calling the office at 624-3817.
“Anyone can get those at the Mosaic office or from myself,” Stout said. “If they want a ticket, they can call Mosaic, and I bring them a ticket.”
There are no limits on amount of products. However, the winner can fill only one cart with nothing hanging over the sides or placed on the bottom rack.
The approximate grand prize grocery value is $1,000, and lotto, tobacco and alcohol products are excluded.
