JOHNSON – Paul E. Plummer, 86, died Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses.
He was born April 4, 1924, to Paul Plummer Sr. and Jeannette (Martin) Plummer in Jenks, Okla.
He married Leaura Lewison Hatton Nov. 6, 1943 in Tribune. She survives.
Paul was a lifetime resident of Stanton County. He was involved in agriculture throughout his life. Paul’s passions of life included family, friends, farming, fishing, flying and traveling in his motor home. Paul was a lover of country western music, evenings under the stars, laughter, good food, and his ever present God. Paul leaves behind a legacy of love, care and compassion.
Other survivors include one son, Paul E. Plummer III, Spring Branch, Texas; one daughter, Deb Plummer, Franktown, Colo.; three granddaughters, Heather, Chandra and Rana; two grandsons-in-law, Brian Cheney and Charles Slusser VI; and nine great-great grandchildren, Matthew, Kaela, Marnie, Alanna, Charlee, Tori, Drue, Cade and Clara
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Bonnie Plummer and one brother, Samuel Plummer.
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson with the Rev. Don Hasty presiding.
Burial will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson.
There will be no public calling hours.
