Glenn Robert Grieve, 89, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal.
He was born Feb. 12, 1921, to William Walter and Bessie (Skinner) Grieve in Colony.
He married Minnie Emma Brandt Dec. 31, 1957, in Odessa, TX. She died Dec. 13, 1977.
He graduated in 1940 from Colony High School.
He worked as a floor hand in the oil field for many years working for CarMark in Denver and for Patrick Well Service retiring in 1984. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist.
Survivors include one stepson, David Griese, Minneapolis, Minn.; three stepdaughters, Margaret Johnson, Andrews, Texas, Carol Moncus, Dallas, and Joyce Schranz, Lake Mills, Wis.; and three sisters, Lenna Baumunk, Castle Rock, Colo., Donna Hunting, Hudson, Colo., and Josephine Hartman, Omaha, Neb.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Doris Bartlett, and one brother-in-law, Lowell Baumunk.
o Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Loron Wade presiding.
Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery with military honors by the United States Army.
