In Loving Memory
Jaunita L. DeCamp, age 82, of Liberal, KS, died at her home on Saturday, September 25, 2010. Jaunita was born March 28, 1928, at Parsons, KS, the daughter of J. D. and Gertie (Winters) Walker.
She graduated from Liberal High School in 1946 and worked at Woolwines until February 22, 1948.
Jaunita then married Wilbur D. DeCamp of Hugoton on February 22, 1948. She loved being a help mate to him in farming.
She was a member of Lone Star Friends Church and belonged to the Missionary Society. She was a member of Prairieola Ladies Aide, Prairieola Sewing Club and was a 4-H Leader. She loved her family and gatherings dearly and they loved her.
She is survived by her three darling daughters, Vickie King and husband, Ezra, Janis Malin and husband, Randy, and Jeri Rice and husband, David all of Liberal; one sister, Helen Gray and husband, George; four grandchildren, Kelly King, Jennifer Malin, Brandon Nix and Jason Malin; four great-grandchildren, Jessica Malin, Aspen Jaramillo, Cameron and Kurt Malin; two Nephews Bill Wesley and wife Jennifer, Bobby Wesley and wife Jackie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur D. DeCamp, on April 1, 2010, her parents, J.D. and Gertie Walker (Prater), and stepfather, Earl Prater.
o A Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30th, at Lone Star Friends Church. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1- 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday with the family present to greet friends from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.
