CANADIAN, Texas – Kathy Purdy, 57, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, in Amarillo, Texas.
She was born Dec. 15, 1952, to the late Branford Harp Jr. and Janice Marie Harp in Little Rock, Ark.
She married George Fawcett.
She then married Terry Purdy. He survives.
She was a graduate of Southwestern Heights High School in Kismet.
For the majority of her life, she lived in Liberal, where she was self-employed. She and Terry resided in Canadian for seven years, where they owned and operated TPC&S for three years.
She was a member of the Society for the Prevention of Bored Housewives for more than 20 years. She also was a member of the Too Tired Motorcycle Club.
She enjoyed bowling and was a member of various bowling leagues for several years.
Survivors include two sons, Jason Lee Fawcett, Colwich, and Kevin Fawcett, Amarillo; one stepson, Rusty Kendrick and wife Jackieone daughter, Iris Thompson, Liberal; three grandchildren, Kylie Fawcett, Amarillo, Kaitlyn Thompson, Liberal, and Stephanie Kendrick; at two brothers, Brad and Rich Harp, both of Liberal.
o Services were at 1 p.m. Monday in Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Justin Coleman presiding.
Burial was at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian.
