Liberal Junior Varsity Tennis Team traveled to Garden City on Monday, September 13 to join in a 12-team tournament.

Kassandra Rosales played No. 1 singles and went 3-2 for the day and received seventh place. She beat the No. 1 singles from Cimarron 6-1, lost to Garden City 6-3, won against Meade in a close tie-breaker and then went on to win against Ulysses 6-4 to take seventh.

Jesse Piper played No. 2 Singles for the Redskins.  Jesse won her first match against Cimarron in a tie-breaker then lost against Meade 6-2, she then beat Ulysses 6-0 and Garden City Gold 6-4 to take 9th place.

No. 1 Doubles Team of Chantal Desormeaux and Melissa Alvarado received a 4th place medal for their efforts. They beat Cimarron 6-0 in the first round and went to losing to Garden City White 6- and then beat Meade 6-2 and Tribune in a tie-breaker. In the medal round they met with Garden City White again. They lost in a heart breaking tie-breaker 7-5 but did get a medal.

No. 2 Doubles Team of Madison Martinez and Vicky Calderon received 11th place for the day.
